In this episode, Luz chats with fellow first generation college students about some of the challenges or obstacles we often face when getting the courage to ask for help with our classes and some of the ways we can rethink and overcome those challenges to reward us with better understanding.

In this episode you will hear from:

-High School Student Jennifer who initially was afraid to ask for help for fear of being negatively perceived but overcame that fear by reframing the situation for herself and realizing that by receiving answers to her questions she was rewarded with a large satisfaction of understanding.

-College Student Student Kyvana who with lots of practice with asking for help was able to get comfortable with the feeling, utilized technology to her advantage, and also realized that the act of asking for help came with many more added useful skills.

-Post College Student Student Derek who learned from personal experience how detrimental not asking for help could be and was able to pick himself up and adjust his strategies to help him achieve his individual and group goals.
