Episode 106: Making the Most out of ERGs (Employee Resource Groups)

In this episode, Luz chats with Navea about what Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are, what benefits you can get at the different levels of involvement, and some consideration on starting one out at your own organization. ERGs can be a great place for finding a community and sense of belonging as you navigate a new workplace.

In this episode you will hear from:

  • Navea, a first generation college graduate and current law student, who shares her experience with first learning about ERGs, taking a lead in starting a new ERG at her workplace, and the benefits she has received as both a member and leader of an ERG. She provides some examples of how the ERGs have worked in her experience, why she believes that at the end of the day being a part of an ERG no matter at what level provides benefits, and what to consider to start and run a successful ERG.
