Episode 112: Prepping for a College Admissions Interview

In this episode, Luz chats with Alex (one of our High School interns) about how she has navigated the college process and specifically, how she has prepared and done in her college admissions interviews. College interviews, which are often optional components of the admissions application, are a great way for students to showcase who they are beyond what has been submitted in the college application and can usually only help boost your application.

In this episode you will hear from:

  • Alex, a first generation high school senior who shares her experience with navigating the college application process, how and what she has learned along the way while applying to college, and her experience with prepping for her college interviews. She provides some excellent tips for students to help them make the best out of their college interviews including making sure to have some bullet points prepared for commonly asked questions, reviewing your resume beforehand to refresh yourself on your accomplishments, and always taking a deep breath to calm the nerves.
