In this episode, Norma discusses the evolution of three first generation college students on why they decided to take the leap of faith and become the first ones in their families to attend college.

In this episode you will hear from:

-High School Student Leslie who is beginning her college journey in the fall to follow her passion to one day become a nurse. She  learned that in order  to one day practice a profession of saving lives and give back to her community, she will need that college degree.

-College Student Chris who started his college journey at Rice University because all of his other friends were doing it. Through his college education he realized  that college is a space to learn how to think critically and become educated so that he can become a doctor.

-Post College Student Nadine who began her journey in community college and then transferred to the University of Houston. Nadine has used her college degree to help her find and follow her passion and obtain a job that fits her wants of giving back to her community.
