Episode 02: Is the debt worth it?
In this episode, Mijin discusses the evolution of three first generation college students on their thoughts and experiences with taking on student loans to pursue their college degrees.

-High School Student Mia who is beginning her college journey in the fall at Rice University. Throughout her high school career she had moments when she felt overwhelmed by the financial cost of getting a college education, but with the help of her friends, family, and other resources she’s decided to take on some student loan as a part of her financing strategy for college.
-College Student Diamond is currently attending St. Mary’s University with the hopes of pursuing a career in criminal justice. Through her time in college she realized that there are resources out there for students with financial needs besides the regular offerings via the Financial Aid Office to help students like herself navigate student loans and other considerations for financing a college education.
-Post College Student Aleena graduated from Texas A&M University. Aleena is currently working as a high school science teacher and she’s also in the course of applying to graduate schools at the moment. Through her time in college and while working as a teacher, she realized that the value of education is worth taking on some student loan if necessary. She also suggested leveraging free resources online to further educate oneself about student loans and other financing options.
