Episode 96: The Importance of Our Cultural identities

In this episode, we sit down with the Jikaria Sisters to explore their journey as first gen Indian Americans and content creators. The Jikaria Sisters combine their diverse Indian and American identities in their art and content and have gained 700k+ followers across their social media platforms. Whether it's through creating Bollywood Hip Hop fusion pieces, going back to their roots through traditional dance, or defining what it means to be a part of the South Asian diaspora, the Jikaria Sisters are passionate about pushing boundaries and inspiring other creators to do the same.

The Jikaria Sisters (Omika, Rishika, and Aashika) are a sister trio originally from New York City. Beyond the platform they’ve created, they are all pursuing their individual interests in their careers, from business to law to engineering. Listen in on how the Jikaria Sisters got started, how they balance their content creation with their careers, and how their first gen identity shaped their experiences throughout their lives.
