Sandra Fernandez: My Road to College

Meet Sandra, one of our new Season Three co-hosts. Sandra has a strong belief that education is essential, and that giving a helping hand to new and prospective first-gen college students can improve their chances of success. In this episode, Sandra will share a bit about her road to college as a first-gen college student.

Sandra has a bachelor’s degree in Communications from the University of Houston. She is the first person in her family to graduate from college. She shares her family’s role in getting her into college, her road to college from school in Mexico, and her struggle to graduate while paying for college herself.
